Hi!, im Inaudito, this is my first ambitious project who i'm working since July, 2022.

Trials of D. Knight its inspired by so many platformers games, the mechanics of Dark Souls and many features of D&D.

D. Knight its a noun of "Deny" main mechanic of the game.

To be honest, i dont know what history apply to my game, im only developing for fun and improve my skills for a future. So, im gonna work on a history to match with the mechanics and style of Trials of D. Knight.

Hey this is a nice game! For your first ambitious project is super good! 

If you want some feedback:

  • The initial enemies are too hard. I died on the first encounter... and then again on the second. Maybe while the player is still learning the controls would be good to have the enemies diein one or two hits.
  • There was no place explaining that I needed to equip the items I got. I only discovered it when I got the first potion and saw that my health didn't change.
  • The jump is a bit clunky, is it possible to jump over the initial spikes? I always felt on them.
  • The slide shouldn't have a cooldown that long
  • The spells spend a lot of mana, but they don't compensate for the regular attack in terms of damage, so they aren't very useful.
  • I didn't understand how to dodge, if it is the same key as jump. Maybe switch the jump key to "W", as this key doesn't seem to be used anyway.

I hope you keep developing this game, it surely has potential. Maybe it could become the next  Apple Knight? 😄

Omg thanks to you to play this alpha of the game. I appreciate so much this moment.
About the feedback:

  • Yes, the initials enemies are too hard, because i want to set a high difficult in this game to get great rewards, but i understands this point, 'cause its the first level and the player needs to learn how to play it. I will add some squishy enemies on the next version and some UI to explain the controls, movements, inventory and equipment. 
  • Same as the first point, i want to add a hight difficult to this game, so, sometime, i want to add some tutorials how to improve the distance to reach in a combination of Jump+Dodge in movement.
  • I really need to work on the CD of every actions of the game, because its really pain on the a** think in so many things xD, but, thanks, i had this point on my mind.
  • Yes, the spells spend a lot of mana, i will compensate the damage adding some numbers to the total.
  • Oh sh*t, i typed the same key on the description, but its a different key and action, the Dodge key is the L, im gonna fix that, thanks!!!

Again, i appreciate this feedback because i can improve those points to give a very nice feel to play this game, thanks so much to play Trails of D. Knight :D

That's great, much better with the controls explained.

I have a few more feedback:

  • During the tutorial I slided under that passage and jumped at the same time, it caused my character to get stuck in the falling animation under the passage, I couldn't leave and had to reload the game.
  • When sliding on the wall add a small delay before losing the grip and falling. Otherwise it is very hard to do that "climbing" jumping from one wall to the other.
  • The description of the items in the inventory is very small and barely readable
  • During the tutorial the keys "I" and "L" are nearly indistinguishable because of the font.
  • There are some glitches on the black background while moving.
  • it is hard to cast the spell during jump to hit the first enemy. It looks like there's a delay between the key press and the cast.
